Dove’s Dirt Oven, Guayaguayare

There’s just something extra special about bread baked in a traditional dirt oven! To begin with, the dough is kneaded by hand with love and then placed on banana leaves to enhance the flavour. And the oven itself is essentially made of clay and heated by burning different types of wood. The coolest part might be the bottomless pans they use to let the banana leaf flavour bake all the way through.
