Egg-Naughty Or Nice-Nog

Traditionally alcoholic, our non-alcoholic eggnog recipe has a creamy custard finish that can’t be beat. And if you tipple a little rum into your batch, we won’t tell 😉

 

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups Dairy Dairy Full Cream Powder
  • 4 cups water
  • 6 large eggs
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp lime zest
  • ½ tsp Bitters
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

Directions

  • In a medium-sized pot, combine the eggs, sugar, and lime zest. Whisk vigorously until the mixture becomes light and frothy.
  • Add the water and Dairy Dairy Full Cream to the egg mixture, whisking continuously until smooth and well combined.
  • Turn the heat to low and cook the mixture for 10-12 minutes, whisking often to prevent the eggs from curdling. The mixture should thicken slightly but not come to a boil.
  • Remove the pot from heat and stir in the ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, Bitters, and vanilla extract. Mix until everything is well combined.
  • Allow the eggnog to cool slightly, then refrigerate it until well chilled.
  • Serve the eggnog cold in glasses, with whipped cream and a sprinkle of nutmeg on top if desired.
